Food Hub – Bringing fresh food to Birmingham

Slow Food Birmingham is working with supporter 1000 Trades to give access to fresh locally produced seasonal food to the residents of The Jewellery Quarter.

A Slow Food hub is a sustainable ‘click and collect’ online farmer’s market exclusively for locally-produced food. Please complete the survey here.

How would it work?
Every week you would find great fresh seasonal produce which comes directly from brilliant Midlands farmers, growers and producers, which you could buy at the click of a mouse: vegetables, salad greens, fruit, bread, milk, butter, cream, yogurt, cheese, meat, fish, eggs, pastries, pies, cakes, chocolate, honey, jam, sauces, dry goods, apple juice, beer, wine and much more.
All you would have to do is to look online and order whatever you fancy. There would be no minimum order value and no obligation to purchase again. You would choose your items and then pay by debit or credit card. You would collect your shopping from 1000 Trades in the Jewellery Quarter on a weekday evening, where the local producers or Slow Food members would hand your purchases directly over to you.
