Public sector strikes: Unions set to defy council and march through Birmingham

Leading unions are set to defy Birmingham City Council by holding a march through the city as part of the public sector strikes.

The planned pensions protest will go ahead without permission from the local authority and without official road closures, it has emerged.

Leading public sector unions will continue with the march from Lionel Street, in the Jewellery Quarter, to the NIA, where a protest rally is to be held.
