Have been on holiday, so a bit late to the party posting this one I’m afraid. The deadline to express interest was yesterday (11th July) but do still contact Suzanne if you’re interested (info at the bottom of the post) as she’ll let you know if they are still looking for help.
Are you friendly and confident speaking to the public? Do you want to be part of a cool new festival in Birmingham? Do you have a few hours you can spare on Saturday 18 July?
We are looking for a team of volunteers to help at the first ever Jewellery Quarter Festival organised by the JQ BID team on Saturday 18 July. There are over 40 open studios dotted around the JQ as well a main stage and Grand Bazar on the Golden Square. We need your help to offer a warm welcome to visitors to the Jewellery Quarter, give out maps and programmes, assist with directions and make sure the JQ Festival has a visible presence on the main routes into the Quarter.
You will be located at one of 5 key outdoor points with an information stand – with brightly covered balloons. We will provide you with:
- A JQ Festival T-shirt – to keep
- A lunch voucher at a JQ Café
- An umbrella for rain, and sun cream for shine!
- Refreshments throughout your shift
- ‘Out of pocket’ travel expenses (with receipt of travel/car park)
- Experience of being part of a vibrant and fun events team.
Knowledge of the JQ an advantage but you will be given the information you need to provide visitors in advance and on the day.
Please contact suzannecarterBCT@gmail.com if you are interested and for further information by 11 July
