City Council consultation: JQ Planning Forum

We’ve been asked by the city council to publish this information regards the recent application by the Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Planning Forum. Information about the application and details of how you can respond are below. The consultation is open until March 5th 2014.

On the 30th December 2013 the Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Planning Forum formally applied to the City Council to be recognised as the legitimate body to prepare a Neighbourhood Development Plan for their area. The Forum’s application identifies their reasons for wanting to prepare a plan, the proposed Neighbourhood Area, and how the Forum meets the criteria within the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations. This information will be publicised on the City Council website for a 6 week period ending on March 5th2014.

At the end of this period the City Council will consider any representations submitted with respect to the application and determine whether the proposed Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Planning Forum and Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Area are appropriate and meet the requirements of the Neighbourhood Planning Regulations.

If all of the requirements are met, the Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Planning Forum will be formally designated. Should this designation be made no other organisation or body may be designated for the neighbourhood area until that designation expires or is withdrawn.
