The Library of Birmingham, Local Community Libraries, the Heritage Lottery Fund, and the City Centre Neighbourhood Forum present the Community Heritage Open Day at the Library of Birmingham.
This event is the first in a wider programme comprising events at libraries in different parts of Birmingham.
This event will focus on the important role of the Library in the life of the city centre community, particularly as a hub for meeting and cultural participation. The event will also present previous heritage and cultural projects and activities and show possibilities for the library to work with the community, and a range of other possible partners, including importantly the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Most importantly, the aims of the day are to discuss how everyone in the community can work collaboratively to create new opportunities, bringing people together, using the Library as a focus. It can open ways to support the city centre community, and to develop new ideas for projects and events.
This Open Day at the Library of Birmingham is a chance for you to contribute your ideas.
