It seems a long time since the Summer Market in August, but it’s still firmly planted in my head as a beautiful warm evening spent with friends in the Jewellery Quarter. The 24 Carrots crew were there early (some all day!) to get the bunting out, the stalls up and the atmosphere buzzing for the arrival of our brilliant stallholders and guests.
Once everyone was ready and set up, people started to wander through the stalls; taking a long look at the lovingly crafted local wares and conversing with our wonderful stallholders and neighborhood forum members. It truly was a lovely evening helped along by glorious weather, lashings of Pimms and the wonderful members of our community getting together and shopping local.
It really did feel magical as people arrived and enjoyed the luscious surroundings until late into the eve. I hope you all had as nice a time as we did! Special thanks go to all of our stallholders and the local companies and individuals who donated something towards our raffle. The winners were overjoyed with their prizes and we managed to raise over £160 which was split 50/50 between the Church and the fund toward future markets.
Speaking of future markets… I hope you’re all ready to go again! The next Market is planned for Thursday 12th December at St Paul’s Square. It’s going to be a festive spectacular, so get out your warm Christmas Jumpers and make sure you’re ready for it to be a bit cooler than our summer affair!
