We’re having an Open Meeting on Saturday 12 October (12 – 3pm) at the Drop Forge. This will be a drop-in ‘surgery’ style event where you can pop in for five minutes or stay all afternoon! The idea behind the Open Meeting is for you to find out more about the Jewellery Quarter Neighborhood Forum (JQNF) – and how you could get involved – and for us to find out what is of interest/concern to other residents of the JQ.
JQNF is an independent voice for residents of the Jewellery Quarter, doing what we can to make this area the best possible place to live. Our activity falls into four man areas:
– Marketing & Events: we post items of interest on our website: jqnf.net | we’ve organised a number of events this year including: 24 Carrots Market, JQ Coach Trip, JQ Quiz Night
– Safety/Security: we attend meetings with local police, where they report on crime & anti-social behaviour for the whole of Ladywood ward (we’ll be posting a blog-post on this soon).
– Planning: we comment on planning applications within the JQ
– JQDT: we are members of the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust (www.jewelleryquarter.net) through which we contribute to the development of the Quarter as a whole.
Between 12 – 3pm on Sat 12 Oct (Drop Forge) members of the JQNF committee will be on hand to answer your questions, and collate your views on subjects affecting your life in the JQ.
You won’t be able to miss us; we’ll be in the alcove near the bar! Just pop in to say hello.
