FRAME_birmingham launched on 16th Nov across a total of 33 frames installed in 31 mostly non art venues in Birmingham, as a way of bringing art to new audiences, new audiences for art – and to reach and encourage new collectors too.
All work is for sale up to a maximum of £750. Artists include ‘stars’ such as Ron Athey, Feminist NYC galleriest Martha Wilson & Jon Campbell (who just won a AUS$100,000 art prize) and also some recent graduates (Antonio Roberts & Adele Mary Reed) as well as many others.FRAME_ is funded by Arts Council West Midlands (via a small Grants for the Arts Grant of £9.5K) and supported by mac birmingham and, through them Own Art.  Buying art via FRAME_ supports artists, brightens your sitting room & could be the best investment you’ve ever made!FRAME_birmingham has a work displayed at many venues in the Jewellery Quarter, including The Big Peg, The Vaults, Urban Coffee, Artfull Expression, The Salon, Bloc Hotel, The Braderie, Vrai Vintage, Cross Synnott, and St Paul’s Church.
